The Older People’s Commissioner for Wales has legal powers to help safeguard and promote the interests of older people. This includes:
- advocating for rights and challenging discrimination,
- reviewing legislation affecting the interests of older people
- promoting best practice in the treatment of older people.
The Commissioner’s Advice and Assistance Team can help you find support and services throughout Wales, and make sure your rights are upheld.
The team can provide you with help and support if you:
- are aged 60 and over and live in Wales
- are concerned that your rights may have been breached, or
- have been experiencing problems with services, such as health, social care, community services or housing.
