DeafBlind UK support deafblind people to build their confidence and independence. They can offer support after a diagnosis, help you do the things you love, and offer advice and information.
Their free services include:
- Health and wellbeing services such as a helpline, regular wellbeing calls and counselling.
- One to one technology support sessions to use phones, tablets, laptops, and other common household devices. This includes monthly webinars with guest speakers and online focus groups.
- Help to find work, such as support with CV writing, interview preparation and looking for a job.
- Phone and video social groups, such as BSL video groups, and a remote befriending service.
Reconnections project
Reconnections provides free support for people with dual sensory loss in Cardiff.
They can help to:
- reconnect people with their local communities, and
- find social opportunities to reduce isolation.
They also host support groups where members can meet and socialise with others in the deafblind community.
